Emerson vs Affinity

The introduction matters. So does every promise after it.

Affinity finds the introduction. Emerson keeps everything after it: every conversation, commitment, document and payment, in the daily work of the whole firm.

Start with the job

Where Affinity fits.

Affinity is built for warm introduction paths and deal sourcing, with email and calendar capture on its plans and meeting and AI capabilities on higher tiers.

Built before AI

Affinity was designed before AI was part of the idea.

AI is being bolted on now. Emerson was built around it.

Affinity
  • Designed over ten years ago, for typing records in
  • AI added on top of a system that was never built for it
  • An interface that cannot keep up with what AI can now do
  • Too big to redesign from the ground up, so it never will be
Emerson
  • Built now, with AI at the centre from the first line
  • The record fills itself in from the conversations you already have
  • One interface designed around what the AI knows
  • New capability reaches you without a migration

Pricing
AffinityEssential: $2,000 per user/year
Emerson$1,000/month, unlimited people

Emerson core includes 10 connected mailboxes and a 12-month term. Additional mailboxes are $75/month each. Operator support and custom implementation are optional.

The cost of missing context

Test the moments that put trust at risk.

/ 01

A strong introduction can still go cold

The email was sent, the meeting happened, but the next step belongs to nobody. Ask each vendor to show how a commitment becomes a visible task and how the team finds it later.
/ 02

A handoff should carry the history

When an associate moves off an account, the next person needs more than a name and a stage. Demonstrate the last conversation, the document that followed and the open commitment in one workflow.
/ 03

Price the team you will actually include

Assistants and operations staff need context too. Compare the proposed seat mix with Emerson’s unlimited people and mailbox allowance. A useful system is one the right people can access.
Make the right choice

Choose around the work you cannot drop.

Affinity is strong at finding the path to a new relationship. For everything after the introduction, the conversations, promises, documents and payments your whole firm runs on, Emerson does the job in one place, for one firm-wide price.

Questions

Before you switch.

Does Affinity capture activity automatically?

Yes, on its plans. The difference is what happens next: Emerson turns what was said into promises with owners, tasks and follow-ups, on the same record as the documents and payments.

Can we use both?

You can. Keep Affinity for sourcing and run client work in Emerson. We import what you have and set which system owns contacts and tasks.

How fast can we be running?

Standard setup takes two business days after we confirm the scope and receive the access and files we need. Larger migrations and custom work get an agreed schedule.

Can we get our data out?

Yes, whenever you ask, as a full export in a format you can actually open. Your data is yours. Emerson itself stays ours, so what you would take is the record, not the software.

Bring the last client handoff that was harder than it should have been.
