How do I connect my Google account?

From your client portal, go to Settings → Connected Accounts and click "Connect Google." You will be prompted to sign in and authorize the permissions listed below. The connection takes about 60 seconds and can be revoked at any time.

What Google permissions does Emerson North request, and why?

We request three scopes on your behalf:

  • Google Calendar (read/write) — To create appointments, check your availability, prevent double-bookings, and sync your schedule with client communications.
  • Gmail (read) — To help our AI assistant monitor incoming client messages so it can draft or send responses on your behalf.
  • Gmail (send) — To dispatch automated follow-up emails, campaign messages, and appointment confirmations from your Gmail account.

All three authorizations are voluntary. You may disconnect your Google account at any time from Settings → Connected Accounts without losing your Emerson North account or any other data.

How do I disconnect my Google account?

Go to Settings → Connected Accounts in your client portal and click "Disconnect Google." We will immediately revoke our OAuth token and permanently delete your stored credentials. No data obtained through Google APIs is retained after disconnection.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Email hello@emersonnorth.com with your account name and "Cancel" in the subject line. We process cancellations within 1 business day. Your access continues through the end of the current billing cycle. There are no cancellation fees or penalties.

What is the 30-day refund policy?

If your Growth Engine dashboard is not showing you more about your marketing within 30 days than your previous agency showed you in 6 months, we will refund your first month in full. Email hello@emersonnorth.com with "Refund Request" in the subject line. No paperwork, no questions.

What data does Emerson North store about my business?

We store your name, email address, business name, connected account credentials (encrypted at rest), content you have approved through your dashboard, and pipeline and contact data synced from your CRM. We do not store the full contents of your Gmail inbox — only message summaries and metadata required for AI-assisted responses. For the complete list, see our Privacy Policy.

How do I request deletion of my data?

Email hello@emersonnorth.com with "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will delete all account data within 10 business days and send written confirmation when complete. If you have a connected Google account, your OAuth credentials are deleted immediately upon disconnection — you do not need to wait for the full deletion process.

How long does it take to get a response?

We typically respond to email inquiries within 1 business day. For urgent billing or account access issues, include "URGENT" in the subject line — these are prioritized and usually resolved same day during business hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm ET).
